iP4Play will pay $10,000 and other prizes to the winner of a contest that invites women to compete with scintillating submissions using the iPhone 4′s FaceTime video chat feature.

“Mr Hugh Hefner’s innovation of a centerfold in 1953 was certainly ahead of its time and we think, given the progress of technology, we can utilise the ingenuity of FaceTime to provide customers with our version,” said iP4Play co-founder Travis Falstad.

The crowned Miss FaceTime will not only be a beautiful woman that you can enjoy visually, but also one that you can actually meet and speak to.

iP4Play launched in 2010 with a stated mission to combine “the bleeding edge of technology” with live adult entertainment.

The DOT com service lets people video chat with models using FaceTime technology that Apple implemented into the iPhone 4.

The result “was a fantastic experience as it was easier/faster to access data (touch UI) than on the Blackberry. It was also great to only have to carry one device for personal and corporate email access.”

He does say they miss the BlackBerry notification light, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

A Hyatt employee had this to say:

Hyatt employees are already using them for a better customer service practice. Check-in reps are given iPads for an easier way of looking up reservations and checking in guests.

Steve Jobs announced at Apple special music event that iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch will be coming next week, and iOS 4.2 for the iPad will be coming in November.

iOS 4.1 includes bug fixes for the proximity sensor, Bluetooth, and iPhone 3G performance. It also adds HDR photos, HD YouTube uploads,TV rentals and Game Center.

iOS 4.2 includes all that is with iOS 4.1 along with wireless printing and AirPlay, which replaces airtunes and adds streaming video and pictures

AutoDesk has announced that they will be bringing AutoCAD to iPhone and iPad.

The Mac version will cost $4,000, the same as the PC version, and will be releasing in October. AutoDesk will soon introduce a free mobile version of the software that will run on the iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch. With the mobile version of AutoCAD an engineer can bring drawings to a job site on an iPad instead of a big roll of paper. The mobile version will be able to read any AutoCAD file whether it was created on a Mac or PC.

Could it be that Apple makes high quality devices, probably the best tech products on the market to date. That being said, the iPhone has revolutionized the gadget world, iPhone users actually obsess over a software update or a hardware release. One feature that keeps the iPhone so popular is the simple user interface.

Other phones have higher-resolution cameras and can shoot HD video. The processor in the new phones such as the Droid is much faster. A more energy efficient touch screen technology is eclipsing the one used on the iPhone. The competitors are matching features that once was only available on the iPhone, including an app store, slim design, touchscreen technology etc. and yet the iPhone is still the number one most wanted and loved smartphone available.

iPhone user, Ingrid Ougland-Sellie, 41, a writer and part-time hospital employee, uses her iPhone to take photos of mystery vegetables she gets from a community-supported farm program. She e-mails pictures to the farmers to be identified, then looks up recipes on an iPhone app. She uses it for scheduling, finding addresses and swapping photos of her son with her husband, also an iPhone owner.
“I’m sure technology has come a long way,” Sellie says. “But I am kind of a creature of habit at this point. I know how to use this phone. I’m comfortable with it.”

Studies show that most iPhone users are returning iPhone owners, either from upgrading from one iPhone to an updated model or someone that originally used the iPhone then tried another brand smartphone but eventually came back to using the iPhone as their primary phone.

There is just no other device that can compare/compete with the iPhone. Of course there are other phones that have one or two things better that the iPhone, but the iPhone wins hands down in general. Everything it has or does is precise and elegant. The web browser is stunning and cant be matched, and the touchscreen operates as smooth as velvet.

Nothing is official yet, but the domains farmvilleiphone.com and farmvilleipad.com have been reserved by the same company that is responsible for the official Farmville website. This could only mean that Zynga must be planning to make it available for the iPhone and iPad.

The question still remains whether Farmville will be available in the App store or will just be a web app.

Hello Sony (SNE), goodbye OmniVision (OVTI). Apple has picked Sony’s 8-megapixel camera chip for the 2011 iPhone, according to supply and manufacturing sources, said Rodman Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar.

If true, it’s good news for iPhone fans looking for more photo shooting power on their phones. But the move would displace OmniVision, Apple’s current camera supplier to the iPhone.

The company Omnivision reported to have received orders for the 5-megapixel camera sensors for the next generation iPhone expected to be release later this Summer. Currently the iPhone 3GS has a 3.2 megapixel sensor.

Digg founder Kevin Rose gave a hint last year that a Digg app was in the works, when he was caught playing with an early version before an interview during the FOWA Conference in London. Rose was then put on the spot during the interview when he was asked if such an app was being developed. Rose admitted that he did have the application in the development process and was not worried about letting the cat out the bag.
