Get Flash on your jailbroken iPhone 4

Frash, the jailbroken port of Android flash has been seen on the iPad, but now it has made its way over to the iPhone courtesy of Comex who coded it and Grant Pannell who compiled it. If you are a diehard for flash on your iPhone, then yes they have an app for it now, as long as you are jailbroken. Go check out Comex Tweet for some more details.

Here are the steps you can also follow to get Flash on your iPhone 4:

1.First you are going to have to jailbreak your iPhone 4.

2.Then you need to go to Cydia and search for and install OpenSSH. Now reboot your phone

3.Now connect your phone to your computer and make sure iTunes is not running.

4.Then you need to use an SSH client, so either Cyberduck for Mac or WinSCP for Windows

5.Now use these details below to log into your iPhone

Cyberduck
>Server: The IP address of your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Settings –> WiFi –> Network Name>
Username: root
Password: alpine
Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

WinSCP

Hostname: The IP address of your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Setting –> WiFi –>
User name: root
Password: alpine
Protocol: SCP

6.Next your going to want to download Frash from here

7.And now, Navigate to /var/root/Media directory (in your SSH program) and create a folder named “Cydia”. Inside this Cydia folder, create another folder and name it “AutoInstall”.

8.Now copy the Frash file into the “AutoInstall” folder.

9.Then disconnect your iPhone and exit out of the SSH programs and restart your iPhone 4.

hmm, great, now can easily get flash on iPhone and iPad, I just jailbroke my iPad wi-fi with jailbreakme, though now my wi-fi signal indicator in the corner is gone but I’m still connected and all the services that gather my location don’t work. Like maps and Twitter can no longer use my location. I’m still glad I did it though. Backgrounding and free apps without having to wait for iOS 4.2 for iPad, more I installed flash on my iPad, I can enjoy movies from Hulu and YouTube freewheelingly, though I got an iPad video Converter from ifunia, that only make sense when I travel and don’t have much data.
