What in the Hell is going on with this new iPhone 4. This is supposed to be Apple’s best device so far and it has been giving me and members of the staff more flippin problems than the very first one that was released. It seems to be working fine for a while, then loses all service and reads a sim card error. We took it to AT&T to have the sim card replaced and within an hour of leaving the store with a brand new miracle fix sim card…..BAM!!! the message No Sim appeared on the screen, along with no form of communication on this extremely high tech device. Hmm, Now what, we were told to reset the network settings on the phone, we did that and it still went to the error of No Sim!! Toggling between airplane mode seems to get the connection back, but it seems to only last a few minutes before you have to do it again. I guess I might need to bring it into Apple for an exchange and see if maybe it’s just a faulty device. From what we are all hearing this is a widespread issue. Maybe Apple can admit to this being an issue and send out some form of broadcast about it, instead of acting like they have never heard of anyone else complain about this error when you call them. Leave a comment if you are having this issue and if you have a solution for it.

Same issue here, replaced the sim card at AT&T. The next morning I had the no sim message again. Going to Apple to exchange the device itself and hope that fixes the issue.
Same issue, time after time after time. i'm on an extended business trip in Europe so am forced to hard reboot 3x per day or more. there is a forum on apple support with no real resolution except for replacing the phone. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?thread…
I agree. why can't apple admit the problem and then issue a recall or something. Horrible customer relations. of course even if i got a new phone sent to me in Europe it would have nothing on it as my itunes account is on my home pc. ugh!
Have had the iPhone 4 for one week and have had two days of the “no sim card” problem. I had three dropped calls the first day while on the line to AT&T tech support. I've had more problems in one week than I've had with the original iPhone in three years. Just reactivated the old iPhone and am waiting for a replacement iPhone 4.
