After a quick little research it becomes clear that iPhone apps linked, one way or another, to the Dalai Lama have been removed from the Chinese App Store. In most other countries the applications are available.
The apps involved are apps with statements about the in Tibet expelled spiritual leader and an app showing where the Dalai Lama is. By removing the applications Apple responds to the censorship by the Chinese government.
The iPhone is available in China since two months ago, via the telecom provider China Unicom. The provider has sold more than 300.000 devices so far.
