Apple and News Corp have sent out formal invitations to an event on February 2nd where Rupert Murdoch CEO of News Corp will be joined by Apple iTunes, App Store and internet VP to launch “The Daily” the only digital newspaper for the ipad.

The Daily is based on an iTunes subscription service that will be included in iOS 4.3 firmware. Apple released iOS 4.3 beta to developers on January 12th, so we might just see an iOS 4.3 announcement after the primary event.
