iOS 5 is rumored to have an all new completely revamped notification system with widget support.

We had previously heard that Apple was planning on giving iOS notifications a major much needed and requested improvement. Apple actually hired the man behind WebOS and its beautiful notification system, this is going to be a major, major improvement with the entire iPhone.
