Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, has been watching Microsoft’s mobile stumble bad since Apple has moved in on the mobile community, Ballmer gave a candid response when asked about the incredible iPad sales.

“they’ve sold certainly more than I’d like them to have sold.”

They also gave a response that Microsoft is working hard on a Windows-based alternative to the iPad.

“They’ll be shipping as soon as they are ready,” Ballmer said, offering few details on the products, which he said will come from partners, not Microsoft itself. “It is job one urgency. No one is sleeping at the switch.”

No matter what they do, I don’t believe they will ever keep up with Apple’s technology. As soon as Microsoft begins to catch up, Apple will move years ahead in technology as they have been doing for years now.
