iPad 3G Shipping May 7th, Pre-Order Until Late April
The Online Apple Store has revealed that new orders placed for the iPad Wi-Fi with 3G, will ship on May 7th. Apple has simultaneously begun emailing customers who pre-ordered to reassure them of their late April shipping date.
Apple stated that the demand for the Wi-Fi model has caused them to delay the international release until late May. Some unclear wording in one of Steve Jobs emails made it appear the US version of the iPad Wi-Fi+3G orders could be delayed until late May, but it appears now that it was only a misunderstanding. International pre-orders for all models begin May 10.
