The company iVerse already has an app for the iPhone that allows you to get and read digital comics on the go, but when we saw the iPad introduced with it’s awesome 9.7″ screen, many wanted their comics on the iPad.

iVerse actually built a new comic app from scratch for the iPad:

“we really wanted to create a traditional comic book reading experience on this device.” said Mr Murphey. “You know, just because we can do all kinds of crazy things with the technology doesn’t mean we should”

Some long standing reader demands were also answered, including zoom and preview images. The content comes from Marvel, Ape Entertainment, Archaia, BOOM! Studios, IDW Publishing, there were no sign of DC Comics yet which is a shame.

The Good News:

Previous users of iVerse Comics will be able to download new,high resolution, iPad versions of their previously downloaded in-app purchased comics for no additional cost.
