iPad 3 rumor: Apple planning to release the iPad 3 in January with more battery capacity

The latest iPad 3 rumor is reported from Digitimes, saying the iPad 3 will be released in January with a battery life doubled compared to the iPad 2.

The battery capacity for the high-end version of Apple’s new iPad – due to be unveiled in January 2012 – will be increased to 14,000mAH compared to 6,500mAH used currently, according to industry sources.

I wouldn’t take this too serious though, take it with a grain of salt. Digitimes is also reporting a rumor that Apple will release a less expensive iPad and keeping the iPad 2 around for another year. We just don’t see this happening at all.
