How to erase the data on your iPhone before you sell it

So you are upgrading to an new iPhone and want to sell your old one. Here is how you erase your information so your old iPhone will be wiped clean.

Although we highly suggest performing a full firmware restore and setting up your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad as “new”, but this will work as well.

Tap the ‘Settings’ icon

Tap ‘General’

Scroll down to the bottom and tap ‘Reset’

Tap ‘Erase All Content and Settings’
